Play a Monk in Random Arenas.

Win zillions of straight matches against Monkless teams.

Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

I'm pretty new to pvp but I created a PvP only Monk character, and using PvP items and having barely any skills unlocked went on a 8-straight and 10 straight tear with random teams (the 10 straight only ended because folks had to leave). I just went max DF (13) and max Heal (12) with full radiant/attuning armor, and no attack skills at all. Healing, remove hex, condition removal, and one interrupt (power spike).

I had no unconditional effects doing damage. Total record last night: 28-3.

the 10 leaving might have done so because, i dunno team arenas lol

I've found that whenever playing from international district 1, about half the opposing teams have a monk.

Whenever I play a monk, it seems half the opposing teams have either a dom mesmer or a migraine mesmer.

I started out with Energy Burn as Skill 8

(1-4 heals, also a res, remove cond. remove hex.)

But after playing against a mesmer I swapped to power spike. It's just easier to avoid the diversion/migraine/backfire Monk hate than to fight through it. Not a perfect solution, but it makes the Mesmer think before throwing 2-3s skills at you. And as a Monk you can track the opposing Mesmer pretty easily since you're mostly watching health bars.

Team Arenas wasn't the issue, 3 of 4 had qualified and the 4th wanted the glad points from consecutive wins. People went to bed I think. It just seemed so easy after playing as a Ranger or Necro.
